About the Workshop:
All Montessori educators learn about the four planes of development. This workshop focuses on how we can help parents use the four planes to support their children at home as their children move through the planes. Parents want to know what kind of behaviour to expect from their children in each of the planes and how they can adapt their parenting to meet their needs as they pass through the planes.
Through examining the four planes of development through the lens of our human tendencies, this workshop helps us look from the perspective of parents to better understand their child now, what lies ahead, and how they can best be their guide
- The child – a review of the four planes of development and human tendencies;
- The environment – and how parents can prepare their home in each plane;
- The adult – and how parents can prepare themselves as their children go through each plane.
