The Farmhouse Montessori School caters for students from early childhood through to primary across two lovely campuses in and near Manly on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. The school currently caters for 150 students across both campuses. As an authentic Montessori school, Farmhouse Montessori School follows a philosophy that allows for the development of each individual child in an environment that promotes an atmosphere of respect and understanding. The small school size allows for a tight knit community that are highly engaged, committed and passionate about the school and Montessori education.

Your new role
To lead the school as it continues to grow and develop, a passionate and supportive Principal who models respect, care for others, a love of learning, and who inspires these attributes in others is needed.

What you’ll need to succeed
We are looking for a Principal whose values align strongly to the Montessori and schools philosophy. You will have a warm and nurturing approach that will allow you to engage effectively with parents and students, and importantly empower the teachers in their professional dedication to meeting the needs of each individual child.

As a Principal in a small school setting you will be;

  • A values orientated leader
  • Innovative, proactive, and strategic
  • Hands on, with a diverse skill set
  • A warm communicator with the ability to form excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Passionate about leading a growing school and a committed community
  • Collaborative in working with the board to ensure the long term success of the school.

Applicants are not required to hold formal Montessori qualifications, however this would be a distinct advantage and it is expected the successful applicant will have a natural alignment with the Montessori philosophy.
