About the role
Headland Montessori ELC is seeking passionate and experienced Montessori Educators to join our vibrant early learning community in Caulfield East, Victoria. As a Montessori Educator, you will play a crucial role in nurturing the intellectual, social, and emotional development of our young learners through the implementation of the Montessori pedagogy.
What you’ll be doing
• Implementing the Montessori curriculum to provide a stimulating, engaging, and enriching learning environment for children
• Observing and documenting each child’s progress, interests, and developmental needs to tailor your approach
• Fostering a strong sense of independence, self-regulation, and a love of learning in the children
• Collaborating with the wider Montessori team to ensure consistency and continuity of care
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organised classroom environment (the “prepared environment”)
• Actively participating in staff meetings, professional development, and centre events.
What we’re looking for
• Formal Montessori teaching qualifications: 3-6 or 0-3 Montessori Training or equivalent
• A Certificate III, Diploma in Children’s Services, ECT or equivalent ACECQA recognized qualification
• A minimum of 12 months experience working in a Montessori early childhood setting is highly regarded
• Strong understanding of the Montessori philosophy and its practical application
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
• A genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing the best possible care and learning experiences
• Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, Child Protection and Working with Children Check certifications.
