Located in Pymble, Sydney, Northside Montessori School is a well-established and regarded Montessori school which caters for students in early childhood, primary and secondary. Northside has long been committed to offering a robust and authentic Montessori education.

In this newly created role, our vibrant school community is looking for a positive and proactive addition to our team who is able to juggle multiple priorities with a can-do attitude.

The Marketing and Administration Assistant will provide support to the leadership team as well as work closely with parents and staff to promote the opportunities and values that Montessori education provides. You will be responsible for the delivery of a variety of activities including preparation of marketing collateral, publication and marketing design, photography, social media content and assisting with the management of school events and community activities. A knowledge of Montessori education is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with design and preparation of recurrent and special publications.
  • Prepare and design school marketing materials including event flyers, banners and various other marketing initiatives.
  • Assist with creation and implementation of social media campaigns.
  • Work with management to identify and implement marketing activities via online and offline media channels i.e., social media, events and local area marketing.
  • Assist with preparation and publication of the school Newsletter and other formal forms of communication with school community.
  • Manage school eCalendar of school activities and events ensuring its updated and accurate.
  • Assist with events including during planning and preparation phases, event promotion and ticketing and event catering, set up and set down, this may include out of hours’ time.
  • Provide administration support to the senior leadership team.
  • Maintain ongoing relationships and collaborate with staff, school families and community.

 

This is a temporary full-time position with the view to becoming permanent. A current Working With Children’s check is required.

About you:

  • Marketing, communication and design qualifications or equivalent experience.
  • Creative thinker.
  • Strong initiative, collaboration and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise demands.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to daily operations.
  • Solid knowledge of desktop publishing applications e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office, including spread sheets.
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor, flexible with a can-do attitude.
