Rockingham Montessori School is a co-educational Pre Kindy – Yr 12 school with 285 students located in Rockingham and Port Kennedy. The Montessori approach is based on mutual respect and co-operation. Our School is small by design and has a wonderful community feel where every child and family is treated as an individual.
Due to opening a new campus, we are currently looking to appoint enthusiastic and self-motivated Primary Teachers and Secondary Teachers to join the teaching team. These full time positions commence in July 2021. The School seeks experienced Montessori trained applicants who are student centred in their approach to education. Multi aged groups are established in Montessori Practise and are as follows: Children’s House (3-6 yrs) Lower Primary (6-9 yrs) Upper Primary (9-12 yrs) Middle School (12 – 15 yrs) Senior School (15 – 18 yrs).
About the role:
The teaching staff provide a wonderful Montessori learning environment in which each child can grow to their full potential in all spheres of their development – social, intellectual, emotional, physical and spiritual in accordance with Montessori philosophy.
The role of the teacher includes preparation of individual learning programs for students in their class. The teacher will lead and monitor the learning of each child, ensuring that the outcomes of the Montessori National Curriculum are achieved. Communicating student development to parents and working as a collaborative member of the educational team is essential, along with discussing and planning for individual students to ensure that we achieve the best outcomes for every child.

Skills and experience:
These teaching positions would suit enthusiastic teachers who have completed or are: Undertaking their Montessori training; an outstanding teacher who is familiar with Montessori principles and learning environments; and is willing to undertake the relevant training. All learning area specialists will be considered.
