Montessori Conference in Australia

Grassroots conference – 2025

Save the Date!

AUGUST 30 – 31 Brisbane, QLD

Fast becoming an event not to be missed, MSCA’s Annual Grassroots Conference is a 'home-grown' initiative bringing the Montessori community together. It provides connection and professional development for Montessori educators and leaders with 'on-the-ground' presenters sharing their practice and insights.

Every classroom, every child, and every educator holds a story worth sharing. From the personal journeys that shape us as educators to our daily work with children, each story weaves a unique narrative contributing to the evolving tapestry of Montessori education in Australia.

Our 2025 Grassroots Conference theme, “A Story to Tell”, will explore how stories shape our environments, fuel creativity, and serve as bridges—between past and present, across cultures, and linking the heart and mind. Stories are fundamental to human connection, learning, and cultural preservation. They help us make sense of our world, pass down wisdom through generations, and inspire change.

From the traditional oral histories of First Nations peoples to innovative approaches in narrative writing, from personal testimonies of transformation to the songs and poems that bring learning to life—every educator and every child has a story to tell.

Let’s unite to inspire and be inspired—because every story matters.
