Join our Board!

A vacancy currently exists on the MSCA Board for an appointed director. While a majority of the MSCA directors are elected by the community, there are four positions that are filled by appointment of the director’s selection panel. The director’s selection panel comprises up to seven member-elected directors.

It is preferred that appointed directors have skills in education, commerce, finance, marketing, law or business generally, or such skills which complement the composition of the member-elected directors.

In determining appropriate candidates for appointed directors, the director’s selection panel have analysed the current MSCA Board Skills Matrix to determine what skills and qualities are required for the current vacant appointed director position. This process has identified the following desired skills and qualities as legal skills, knowledge of Montessori training, social media and marketing and/or a background in Montessori childcare. Candidates may have experience in one or more of these fields.

To express your interest in joining the MSCA Board, please review the attached Board Appointments Policy, Expressions of Interest Process and then complete an Expression of Interest for a Board Appointed Position Form and provide a short statement as to why you would like to join the MSCA Board.
